GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man found in possession of a stolen cellphone was arrested at 7:52 p.m. Wednesday by state police.

Jamie M. Sibley, 29, of 607 Cream of the Valley Road, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree harassment.

Mr. Sibley allegedly was found with a cellphone reported stolen July 29. He also is accused of showing an unclothed picture on the phone of the victim, who wasn’t identified by police, to another person, leading to the harassment charge, troopers said.

Mr. Sibley was issued an appearance ticket and released.
