The Watertown Daily Times will launch its e-edition of the newspaper Wednesday.

“This is a project that has been a couple of years in the making, and we’re certain readers will enjoy this new service,” said Robert D. Gorman, managing editor of the Times.

Access to the e-edition can be found on the home page of the Times’s website, www.watertowndailytimes.com. The icon linking to the e-edition will not be activated for free viewing until Wednesday.

The e-edition will be free for one month and then will be available by subscription. Subscribers of the print version can receive the e-edition for an additional $10 a year. The price for the e-edition only is $69.95 for a year.

There are also rates for one-month, three-month and six-month subscriptions. One-day and multiple-day subscriptions also will be available.

“Readers who have tested the site have given us rave reviews,” said Mr. Gorman. “The ease of reading stories, an archive of past issues, the ability to call up an individual story as it appears in the paper and email or print it makes the e-edition a significant addition to our growing number of products.”

The site includes “How To” and “Demo” pages that allow readers to see how all the features on the site can be activated.
