Anthony E. Bishop, 41, of 509 Clay St., Apt. B4, was released on $500 bail Sunday after being arrested by Watertown police on charges of second-degree criminal contempt and harassment.
Police said that after officers responded to his apartment on a fight complaint, they determined he violated stay-away terms of a Hounsfield Town Court order of protection issued to Brandy L. Couture, 33, of 132 N. Pearl Ave., by allowing her to be in his apartment. He was charged in March with felony criminal contempt and criminal mischief in another incident involving Ms. Couture.
The harassment charge stems from an unrelated incident. He is accused of shoving Jason M. Debovis, 33, during a scuffle early Aug. 17 on the porch at 507 Clay St., according to police.
He was arraigned before part-time Watertown City Judge Catherine J. Palermo.
