Scott L. Thomas, 30, of 407 Fairview St., was charged Saturday evening with petit larceny in an alleged shoplifting incident at Walmart Supercenter on outer Arsenal Street.

Police said he is accused of stealing food items and children’s school clothing priced at a total of $888. He is summoned to Watertown Town Court.

In an older case at the same store, John J. Whewell, 29, of 27660 County Route 179, Chaumont, was charged Sunday with petit larceny. He is cited in a $66 value theft on Aug. 4, police said.
