Calling hours for Richard C. Woodley, 79, of Morley, will be held at the O’Leary Funeral Home, September 15, 2012 from 1-3pm. Dick died on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Massena Memorial Hospital.

Surviving Dick are two daughters, Suzette Nugent and husband Mark of Jamestown, NY and Rebecca Huiatt and husband Roger of Lisbon; six grandchildren, Christian, Olivia and Eli Nugent and Zachary, Joshua and Lexis Huiatt.

He is predeceased by a brother Raymond Woodley.

Dick was born November 9, 1932 in Morley, the son of the late Carl and Anna (Jarvis) Woodley. He graduated from Canton High School and from Canton ATC. He served a term in the US Navy and retired from the US ARMY Reserves. He married Sallie Emerson- Woodley.

Dick worked for the Potsdam Village Police, various construction jobs, taught construction and engineering courses for S. Lawrence County B.O.C.E.S. He retired from Public Safety at SUNY Canton in 1995.

Dick was a member of the Sylvan Falls Hunting Club, Morley Cemetery Association, Morley Historical Society and the Canton VFW Post 1231. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Race Car driver.
