A Watertown man was arrested late Tuesday afternoon when he was seen assisting a woman in a wheelchair.
Herbert J. Orendorff II, 35, of 24098 Route 12, Apt. 9, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt because stay-away terms of a City Court order of protection prohibit him from being with the woman, Rose M. Taylor, 59, police said. They have the same address, according to police documents.
Police said Mr. Orendorff was seen walking with Ms. Taylor in the 500 block of State Street.
He was arrested in November on a charge of second-degree menacing for allegedly threatening to throw a knife at her. He pleaded guilty and was fined $200.
