CARTHAGE — State police went to a man’s home here Tuesday to investigate allegations that he used illegal drugs in the presence of children, and he was found possessing marijuana, they said.

Duane L. Doyle, 52, of 228 N. James St., was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. He is due to appear in Village Court.

An investigator said he is accused of drug use at various times in August while in the company of three youths, ages 6, 8 and 16. During questioning Tuesday, he was found to possess 3 grams of marijuana and a pipe containing marijuana residue, the investigator said.
