Seven minutes after being cited with choking her mother Wednesday, a town of Pamelia woman again was fighting with her mother, the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department alleges.
Mia L. Smith, 19, of 22343 Knowlesville Road, was charged at 8:28 p.m. with harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, and was served a court summons. A deputy was called back to the Smith home at 8:35 p.m., when it was alleged she grabbed her mother, Angela M. Smith, 44, by the wrists and would not let go. That prompted a second harassment charge, and she was brought before Pamelia Town Justice Richard C. Baker for arraignment.
She was released without bail, and was granted representation by the county public defenders office.
The initial encounter between mother and daughter occurred shortly after 5 p.m., according to Sheriffs Department documents.
