ALEXANDRIA BAY — Derek J. Wagoner, 30, of 43785 First St., Redwood, was arrested Wednesday by state police on a charge of second-degree burglary in connection with the alleged theft of $1,000 in cash from a house at Fishers Landing.

Orleans Town Justice H. Lee Gill committed him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, setting bail at $1,500.

Money was stolen from the home of Lloyd J. Young, Fishers Landing Road, on two occassions, Aug. 21 and again a week later, police said.

Mr. Wagoner was convicted of felony possession of stolen property in 2007 and of misdemeanor possession of stolen property in 2009. He served jail sentences after each conviction.
