Boonville- On Monday, September 3, 2012, Peter P. Krywosa, 99, of Brown Road, went to be with his loving wife, Helen Gorzalkowski Krywosa, when he passed away at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville, after a short illness.
A native of St. Louis Missouri,, he moved with his family to the Gardner Road, near Lowville, attending school in the Lowville area. On August 8, 1937, he was united in marriage with Helen Gorzalkowski, at St. Michaels Church, Mohawk Hill. After their marriage the couple settled on a farm near Port Leyden, before purchasing a farm on Mohawk Hill, near Constableville, which he operated until 1971, when the couple moved to their present home on Brown Road, near Talcottville. Mrs. Krywosa died on January 11, 1999.
For many years Mr. Krywosa also was employed as a skilled carpenter in northern Oneida and southern Lewis Counties. Together with his son, Jim and Phillip and his son in law, Michael Cihocki, they operated The Builders carpentry and building company.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, Phillip, James and Gilda, Thomas and Nancy, all of Boonville; two daughters and sons in law, Alice and Henry Chrzanowski, Elaine and Michael Cihocki, all of Constableville. He was predeceased by a son, Paul, as an infant, and by a half brother, Mitchel (Michael) Senesen. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his special niece Laura Cavanaugh, Constableville and his beloved canine friend Brownie.
His Funeral will be Saturday at 9:15 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Josephs Church, Boonville. Interment will be in St. Patricks Cemetery, Constableville. A Visitation will be held on Friday 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Constableville Volunteer Fire Co. 3000 Main St. Constableville, NY 13325.
