CARTHAGE — Carol M. Finley, 73, of State Street died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Carthage Area Hospital.

Born June 29, 1939 in Pitcarin, NY, she was the only child of the late Floyd and the late Mildred Remington Finley. She was a graduate of Harrisville High School.

She married Alvin D. Finley on April 6, 1957 in Gouverneur, NY. He died March 21, 1988.

Mrs. Finley enjoyed baking, sewing and crafts.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Daniel and Kerry, Fine and Douglas and Michelle, Long Lake; a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Elmer Dowling, Hortonville, WI; nine grandsons; and a great granddaughter.

A daughter, Denise Finley died before her.

There will be no services at this time. Burial will be at Garrison Cemetery, Pitcarin. Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa.
