When I started paying Social Security 51 years ago, I could buy 20 candy bars for a dollar. Today I cant even buy one candy bar for a dollar. That is the best example I can think of to demonstrate what has happened to the value of our money since we were taken off the gold standard by shady and possibly criminal politicians. Its in our Constitution that the only legal tender is gold or silver. How come all these so-called constitutionalists, that want to defend the Constitution with their life, overlook that law?
Our money is rapidly becoming worthless. My Social Security check barely covers my taxes, which are going up at a faster rate. Ive been paying school taxes for 30 years, and I have no children. What did I get out of that? New citizens who complain about paying my Social Security.
Today workers have a decrease in payroll taxes, but I paid full rate all my life. My tax assessment went up $20,000, which forced me to go on food stamps to receive less than 10 candy bars a week.
Do you think Im happy about that? If things keep on going the way they are, well all be on vouchers because our currency and economy are collapsing. We have been misrepresented by a do-nothing Congress that does not even deserve their own pay or medical coverage. Remember them on voting day!
The American Revolution was fought because of oppression, tyranny and taxes. If there were an insurgent force hiding in the mountains today, I would have to write a sympathetic article about them. Today we are deathly deficient in real Americans. God bless America, and they may be the only hope we have.
