HARRISVILLE The Lewis County Sheriffs Department is investigating an apparent break-in and vandalism at Harrisville Central School.
Between Friday and Sunday, one or more people did damage outside the school building on Pirate Lane, then broke in and did more damage inside, possibly on multiple occasions, according to deputies.
A modified soccer field was damaged by a vehicle, and sports equipment and other items were found out of place, but nothing was reported stolen, Sheriffs Department officials said. Damage was estimated at around $150.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriffs Office at 376-3511 and reference incident number 2012-17366.
