Cape Vincent- Lawrence F. Matula, Sr., 70, formally of Rochester, NY, passed away at Samaritan Medical Center on Sunday, September 9th. He was born September 26, 1941 in Rochester, NY the son of Francis and Genevieve Matula.

Mr. Matula served in the U.S. Air Force and was an active member of the John C. Londraville American Legion Post 832.

He is survived by Mother, Genevieve Matula; four sons, Lawrence Jr. (Denise), Hilton, NY, Richard, Cape Vincent, Thomas, Cartersville, GA, and Gregory (Tracy), San Diego, CA; three Sisters, Kathy Hauer (Harry), Patty Luce (Kenny) and Phyllis Semeraro (Larry); ten Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and devoted dachshund Emmy.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Loretta Matula.

A calling hour will be Wednesday, September 12, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM at Cleveland Funeral Home, Cape Vincent. Burial with military honors will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Cape Vincent.
