The remains of Lloyd R. Peabody’s shed burns outside his house at 549 West Road in Russell this afternoon as a Russell firefighter hoses down Mr. Peabody’s garage to prevent further damage.

Mr. Peabody’s neighbor, Jason D. Bice, said he saw flames shooting out the door of the shed and called Russell Fire Department around 1:40 p.m. Mr. Bice hosed down the side of Mr. Peabody’s garage until the Russell Fire Department, followed shortlyby the Hermon and Pyrites Fire Departments. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
