Watertown police arrested a city man Wednesday afternoon for allegedly putting a male nurse in a choke hold at Samaritan Medical Center, 830 Washington St.
David B. Lightbody, 29, of 724 State St., was charged about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of State Street with second-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.
Mr. Lightbody is accused of choking Michael Barney while he was working in the emergency room of SMC on Aug. 18, causing redness and abrasion to his neck, police said.
