RICHVILLE — Philip D. Roberts, 29, of 110 Main St., was charged by state police at 8:57 a.m. Wednesday with unlawfully growing cannabis.

An anonymous caller contacted police to report that Mr. Roberts was growing marijuana in a yard, troopers said. When police arrived on scene, they allegedly found one plant growing. The address of the yard was not available, police said.

Mr. Roberts was issued an appearance ticket and released.
