HARRISVILLE A lightning strike is being blamed for a fire that destroyed a seasonal cottage at 14405 Cottage Road on Lake Bonaparte in the town of Diana on Friday night.
Harrisville firefighters were called to the scene about 9:30 p.m. Friday. The cottage, owned by James and Dorothy Hennesy, Washington, D.C., was a total loss, firefighters said. No injuries were reported and no one was home at the time.
The Natural Bride Fire Department also responded to the scene.
