GOUVERNEUR — A Gouverneur man was arrested by state police at 9:35 p.m. Thursday after an alleged domestic dispute last week.

Mark A. Weir, 42, Emeryville Road, was charged with felony second-degree assault.

Mr. Weir is accused of striking the victim, whose identity was not disclosed by police, in the head with a chair on Sept. 7.

He was released on his own recognizance.
