Joshua S. Nortz, 30, of 214 Clinton St., was charged Friday night by city police with fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Police said he damaged a door belonging to Transitional Living Services of Northern New York, 214 Clinton St., and pulled away from officers while they were putting handcuffs on him.

He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building and held on $500 bail pending arraignment.
