Frank Elek, 95, peacefully passed away on Thursday night, September 13, at the home of his daughter and son-in law, Frankie-Lee and William Leach.
Mr and Mrs. Elek had lived with their daughter at 119 Sunset Drive in Farmington, NY for the past two years because of poor health, having formerly lived in Parishville, NY for 62 years.
Frank, a Seargent during World War II, retired from Clarkson University as senior lab technician in the Chemistry department in 1980.
He was the last survivor of 15 children born to Andre and Susan Kovacs Elek. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edwina Dougan Elek; his son, Thomas F. Elek; his daughter and son-in-law, Frankie-Lee and William Leach; his son, Michael E. Elek; and his son-in-law, Dr David Schor.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Patrick Christopher, and his daughter, Dr Susan Mary Elek. Additionally, he is survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
