Watertown police charged Dale R. Donato, 48, of 423 Seward St., Lower Apartment, with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 11:24 a.m. Monday at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, 751 Waterman Drive.

He is accused of striking Tammy A. Tuttle, same address, several times in the face Wednesday and preventing her from calling police by disabling her phone.

He was held Monday at the Public Safety Building pending arraignment in City Court.
