Jefferson County sheriffs deputies at 11:55 a.m. Monday charged Dean M. Cronk, 21, of 16633 County Route 155, with first-degree criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a child following a domestic dispute at his home.
According to deputies, a verbal dispute began between Mr. Cronk and a female who had arrived at the residence Monday morning to pick up her child for custody visitation. However, the child was not at the residence, and the woman instead found multiple people who had stayed there from a house party the previous night.
The dispute escalated around 7:30 a.m. after the woman went to Mr. Cronks aunts residence next door, as Mr. Cronk allegedly followed her in, then pushed, pulled and grabbed her from the residence. At that time, Mr. Cronks aunt called 911.
Deputies, who said they found several people at the scene in various states of intoxication, reported that a 15-year-old male had been present at the party and was served alcohol.
Mr. Cronk, arraigned in Adams Town Court, was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $5,000 bail.
