The St. Lawrence University women’s hockey team is picked to finish third by the ECAC Hockey coaches and Clarkson is picked fourth as the league announced its preseason predictions Monday.

Cornell, the defending regular-season champion, was selected to win the title and Harvard finished in second.

SLU finished in a tie for fourth last season but had a strong second half and won the postseason tournament, reaching the NCAA quarterfinals before losing to Boston College.

Clarkson finished in third place last season. Clarkson goalie Erica Howe was selected to the preseason, all-conference team.

The Saints were also ranked seventh nationally in the USCHO.com poll.
