SYRACUSE After four straight games with at least 100 receiving yards, Syracuse University senior wide receiver Marcus Sales has earned his way on to the 2012 Biletnikoff Award watch list.
The annual award recognizes the most outstanding receiver in college football and is sponsored by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. Sales joins fellow Syracuse wide receiver Alec Lemon on the watch list.
Sales extended his streak to four consecutive games with a touchdown in the Oranges 28-17 win over Stony Brook on Saturday.
Sales leads the Orange this season with 25 catches for 350 yards and four touchdowns. Sales 350 season receiving yards ranks fourth nationally, while his 116.7 receiving yards per game and 8.3 receptions per game leads the Big East.
Syracuse plays at Minnesota at 8 p.m. Saturday.
