SYRACUSE — With the announcement of the pairings in the 2012 Gotham Classic, the Syracuse University men’s basketball schedule for 2012-13 is now complete.

The Orange will host Canisius (Dec. 15), Detroit (Dec. 17) and Alcorn State (Dec. 28) in the Carrier Dome and play Temple (Dec. 22) in Madison Square Garden as part of the event.

Times for the Big East Conference portion of SU’s schedule were announced Wednesday. Syracuse has 16 games that will be televised by CBS, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. Most of the other games will air on either Time Warner Sports or SNY.

Nine SU foes — Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, San Diego State, USF and Temple — earned NCAA Tournament berths last year.

No conference club has more than two consecutive road games. Each team begins and ends its conference season with two home and two away games.
