PORT LEYDEN — The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the apparent theft of a motor worth several thousand dollars from a power dam here.

A marine brass bearing housing unit motor was taken some time overnight Thursday from the Enel Green power dam property at 7037 Johnson Dam Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 376-3511.
