LOWVILLE The Lewis County Planning Board signed off Thursday on two home-based businesses in the town of Martinsburg.
Board members approved special-use permits for Bomb Affect Graphix, a proposed graphics art business to be started by Prince Israel in his garage at 6657 Route 26 in the hamlet of Martinsburg, and a gun repair business proposed by Alexander L. Honey at his residence at 7043 Route 12.
Both proposed businesses would be compatible with adjacent uses and have signs that do not exceed six square feet, as allowed in town zoning law, according to reviews by county planner Renee J. Beyer.
The projects still must get final approval from the town of Martinsburg Planning Board.
