COPENHAGEN Joan Sullivan, 70, 9754 NYS Rte. 12, died Friday morning, September 21 at the Lewis Co. General Hospital.
Born in Lowville on February 8, 1942, the daughter of Alexander & Grace Jamieson Murphy, she graduated from Lowville Academy in 1959. She married Robert Henry Sullivan at the United Methodist Church in Lowville on October 31, 1959. She was formerly employed at Beaverite and also worked on the family farm. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, at home, her sons and their wives, Jerome Kenneth & Cherrie Lou Sullivan and Todd Robert & Mary Lou Sullivan of Tylerville, her grandchildren; Addison and his wife, Meredith, Alexandra, Olivia, Robert, Ryan, Colten, Elizabeth, Tanner, Tricia, Michael, Paul, Joseph and Jordan, her great-grandchildren, Wade, Lane, Addison, Destiny, Maddison, Ashton and Gavin. Also surviving are her siblings; Frank and his wife Joanne Murphy, Lowville, Richard and his wife Barb Murphy, Brewerton and Diane Perrigo, Castorland.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Eugene Murphy, Jack Murphy, Niles Murphy, Donald Bud Murphy, Shirley Terrillion and Edna Murphy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at 11:30 AM at the Lundy Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 10229 Washington St., Copenhagen, with the Rev. Samuel P.
