PHILADELPHIA — Junior Malinoski scored two of the Warriors’ four second-half goals as the Indian River boys soccer team rallied for a 4-2 Frontier League “A” Division victory over Immaculate Heart Central.

Kyle Smith and Tyler John also scored for Indian River (6-2, 5-1), and goalie Jacob LaClair made 10 saves.

Matt Guyette and Jude Whalen recorded goals for IHC (4-3, 3-3).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 2, LOWVILLE 0

Cameron Heasley scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 38th minute as the Spartans blanked the Red Raiders in a crossover game in Lowville.

Benner Geurtsen also scored for South Jefferson (3-4) and goalkeeper William Beese made three saves. Collin Farquhar made eight saves for Lowville (6-1-1).

GENERAL BROWN 1, BEAVER RIVER 0

Nolan Pitkin scored the game’s lone goal in the 25th minute as the Lions edged the Beavers in a crossover game in Beaver River.

Adam Vodicka made four saves for General Brown (3-5). Zachary Steiner made four saves for the Beavers (1-4-2).

SOUTH LEWIS 4, SANDY CREEK 0

Nate Pleskach cored three goals, including two on penalty kicks, as the Falcons won a crossover game at Turin.

Nick Arrigo added one goal and one assist for South Lewis (2-7). Tyler Reff scored for Sandy Creek/Pulaski (0-7).

CARTHAGE 3, NEW HARTFORD 1

Tyler Biolsi scored the game winner in the 50th minute and assisted on another goal as the Comets won a nonleague game in New Hartford.

Denzel Dixon also scored for Carthage (5-2). Sebastian Fountain had 28 saves for the Comets.

Josh Pearlman scored the lone goal for the Spartans (4-2-1).

HEUVELTON 2, MADRID-WADDINGTON 0

Chris Powers made four saves to help the Bulldogs wiin the championship game of the Dan Rose Tournament.

Jon Sloan tallied what became the winning goal in the 32nd minute by and one-timing a low drive.

Dedrick Johnson netted the second goal for Heuvelton (4-1). T.J. Gagnon handled seven shots for Madrid-Waddington (4-3).

COLTON-PIERREPONT 4, HAMMOND 1

Alex Hardcourt, Noah Whalen and Ethan Knight all contributed one goal and one assist for the Colts (4-3), who opened a 3-0 lead at the half, in the consolation game of the Dan Rose Tournament.

Scott Boyce also scored for the Colts. John Winchester netted a second-half penalty shot for Hammond (0-4).

GIRLS SOCCER

WATERTOWN 8, GENERAL BROWN 0

Brianne Arthur’s three goals and an assist sparked the host Cyclones to a crossover victory over the Lions (0-8).

Miranda Gilbert and Abby Converse each contributed two goals and an assist for Watertown (4-3-1, 3-2-1). Darcy Dyer chipped in with a goal and two assists.

INDIAN RIVER 1, MASSENA 0

Caitlin Pacilio scored and the Warriors edged the Red Raiders in a nonleague game in Philadelphia.

Lakeisha Barnes made five saves for Indian River (5-3). Courtney Manley finished with six saves for Massena (6-1).

LISBON 0,

MADRID-WADDINGTON 0 (OT)

Jackie Sovie made 20 saves and then helped Lisbon (5-0-2) win a shootout 4-2 to claim the Dan Rose Tournament title in Madrid.

Sovie also scored one of Lisbon’s goals in the shootout. Maddie Vine, Beth Crowley and Gabby Walker also scored goals.

Shelby Kendall had 12 saves for Madrid-Waddington (2-3-1) and Mary Young and Taylor Lenney scored shootout goals.

TUPPER LAKE 3, EDWARDS-KNOX 0

Ryanne O’Connor and Katie Stuart each delivered a goal and an assist to lead the Lumberjacks (2-2) past Edwards-Knox (0-5) in the consolation game of the Dan Rose Tournament.

Brook Dewyea made three saves for the shutout.

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 6, ST. LAWRENCE 3

Kodi Perkins scored three goals and Emily Sloan tallied two as the Panthers (6-1) won a nonleague game in Brasher Falls.

Nicole White added one goal and three assists for the Panthers.

Morgan Villnave scored one goal with one assist for the Larries (1-5-1).

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

HALL, COBB PACE BEAVERS

Alex Hall finished third and Nathan Cobb placed fourth as the Beavers won the Division 2 team title at the New Hartford Invitational.

Hall finished in a time of 18:14.4 on the 3.2-mile course, while Cobb finished in 18:17.5. Sophomore Dustin Neddo placed 10th.

In the girls Division 2 race, Beaver River’s Victoria Rollin was third in 21:39.1.

GORDON LEADS MALONE

Conor Gordon finished second out of 90 runners to lead Malone to a third-place team finish in the large schools division of the Baldwinsville Invitational. Malone scored 88 points, while Baldwinsville took the team title with 66.

In the small schools division, Nick Tyler was fourth out of 221 runners to help lead South Jefferson to a seventh-place team finish.

South Jefferson earned 274 points, while winner Hannibal scored 117 in a 31-school field.

Ethan Vinson finished 13th for Potsdam.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

PASTOR POWERS SPARTANS

Skylar Pastor crossed the finish line seventh out of 176 competitors to lead South Jefferson to second place out of 22 teams during the small schools race at the Baldwinsville Invitational.

Jackie Miller was 10th for South Jefferson (121 points). Tully easily secured the team title with 81 points. Erin McConnell of Fabius-Pompey won the race.

Madi Dow finished 14th for Potsdam, which had an incomplete team. Chelsea Cooper was 36th for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown.

Carrie Pomainville placed 35th to lead Malone, which finished eighth among the large schools. Marissa Saenger crossed the finish line first for third-place Clarence (90), while Liverpool (52).
