GOUVERNEUR — Dustin M. Maloy, 24, of 101 E. Main St., was arrested by village police at 3:34 a.m. Sunday and charged with felony attempted assault.

Police said an officer was attempting to provide assistance to Mr. Maloy, who then tried to kick the officer in the groin.

He was taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, and held on $1,000 bail.
