Timothy J. Martin, 36, of 332 Clay St., Apt. 1, was arrested Monday afternoon after being accused of driving a woman’s car without her permission and stealing cash from her purse, according to police.

He was to be arraigned Tuesday in City Court on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, petit larceny and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Lori A. Gibson, 454 Mill St., reported early on Aug. 16 that after she discovered her car key missing, she determined that her 2005 Ford Taurus had been moved in a parking lot, and that $186 was missing from her purse. She had been with Mr. Martin a short time before the theft, police said.
