CLAYTON David W. Podkowka, 29, of 37385 Bald Rock Road, Apt. 104, is facing added charges regarding use of a former girlfriends personal checks, according to state police.
He was charged Tuesday with second-degree burglary and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Mr. Podkowka was arraigned in town of Clayton Court and was released without bail to await grand jury action.
He is accused of entering the home of Bobbie Jo Garnsey, 34718 County Route 4, on June 23 and stealing checks. Clayton police charged him June 26 with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument for allegedly cashing one of the checks for $190, and now state police cited him with a $100 forged check.
He also was arrested in May on a charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
