MONTAGUE — Lewis County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one person all-terrain vehicle accident on Liberty Road in the town of Montague at 2:18 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver was transported by helicopter for unspecified injuries. While deputies have not released a statement, an unconfirmed reported from an eye witness on the scene stated that the driver appeared to be traveling with group of 14 to 16 ATV riders when striking a tree.
