A witness’s prompt call to police resulted early Wednesday in the arrests of two men who were intruding in a car at 1815 Olmsted Drive, according to Watertown police.

Dustin N. Beach, 29, of 111 Michigan Ave., Apt. 5, and Bryant P. Sanford, 26, of 24097 Route 12, were arrested at 4 a.m. on charges of petit larceny and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Police said a Jefferson County deputy sheriff was nearby when patrols were dispatched, and he found the two in a 2010 Ford owned by Suman Yadam, 1815 Olmsted Drive. A laptop computer and an assortment of other items were being stolen, police alleged.
