Alexandria Bay- Theodore L. Parker, 88 of 4 Rock Street, Alexandria Bay, died Friday, September 21st at the VA Hospital in Oxford, NY, after a brief illness.

Born November 15, 1923 in Alexandria Bay, Ted was the son of Leon and Ruth Taylor Parker. He was educated in Alexandria Bay schools and served in the US Army during WWII from 1942-1945, receiving the recognition of the Purple Heart.

Ted was a millwork specialist for Garlock Lumber for 40 years. He and his wife, Una, spent winters in Myrtle Beach after his retirement. Una passed away three years ago on September 21st, 2009.

Ted is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, George Parker and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leon and Marka Welsh.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 27th at 2:00 pm at Highland Park Cemetery, Alexandria Bay, with Rev. Kerri Weldon officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Ted’s name to the American Legion or to the Alexandria Bay Fire Department.

Arrangements are with Costello Funeral Service, Alexandria Bay.
