POTSDAM — Aishvina Arasu delivered 19 kills to help the Clarkson University volleyball team upset No. 9 SUNY Cortland 23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-21,15-9 in a nonconference match Tuesday.

Victoria Kirkemo added 16 kills for the Golden Knights (14-3 overall), who handed SUNY Cortland (17-1) its first defeat of the season.

SUNY PLATTSBURGH 2

Alexis Brown led the Saints (6-12) with 22 kills in a 21-25, 25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 15-9 win over SUNY Plattsburgh in a nonconference match in Canton.

Rebecca Doser had 13 kills for SLU, and Theresa Lilly and Rosi Cummings each led SUNY Plattsburgh (7-9) with 10 kills.

MEN’S SOCCER

SUNY CANTON 1, SUNY ESF 1 (OT)

Dillon Buchberg scored an unassisted goal in the 25th minute to give SUNY ESF (3-1-2) a tie with the Kangaroos in a nonconference game in Canton.

Kevaughn John scored the opening goal for the Kangaroos (3-4-1) in the third minute off a pass from Abdulai Jagana.

Alysa Johnsen scored off a cross pass from Brooke Harris in the 11th minute to lead SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry past the Kangaroos (5-5) in a nonconference game in Canton.

FIELD HOCKEY

ST. LAWRENCE 2, ST. JOHN FISHER 0

Brady Cooper finished with 17 saves to lead the Saints to a shutout of St. John Fisher (4-6) in a nonleague game in Canton.

Emma Berry assisted on both goals for the Saints (2-6). Grace O’Neil scored in the eighth minute and Ali Ferenczy scored in the 16th for SLU.

MEN’S GOLF

REILLY TAKES EIGHTH FOR BEARS

Colton native Mike Reilly finished in eighth place overall to lead SUNY Canton at the Elmira Fall Invitational with an 83.

The Kangaroos finished in fifth place with 353 strokes. SUNY Potsdam, which was led by an 87 from Massena native Matt Supernault, finished in sixth place with 354 strokes.

SUNY Delhi took the team title with a score of 325.
