Fright Nights at the Fair, one of the largest Halloween attractions in the Northeast, will open for the season this weekend at the New York State Fairgrounds in Geddes.
Fright Nights will haunt the fairs beef cattle barn and surrounding areas from 7 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays and 7 to 11 p.m. Sundays in October.
Five haunted attractions more than 12,000 square feet of hallways, costumed characters and special effects will be under one roof. A haunted hayride will rumble among darkened fairgrounds buildings along a trail transformed by live actors and Halloween props.
The haunted attractions include The Giant and all new attractions The Haunted Mansion, Dungeon of Doom, 3D Pirate House and Hostel.
The cost is $20 per visitor.
