PHILADELPHIA- Patricia A. Benware, 67, of Elm Ridge Road died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at home while under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Born November 9, 1944 in Ogdensburg, NY, she was the daughter of Chauncey and Helen Schneider and had attended Heuvelton High School.

She was an electronic assembler at DDL Ommni in Waterford, CT for many years.

She married Louis Benware on June 25, 1983 in Lisbon, CT.

Mrs. Benware was a member of the Robert Markwick American Legion Post 798 Auxiliary in Philadelphia.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts, gardening and fishing.

Survivors including her husband, Louis are a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Bob Lloyd, Salisbury, NC; three sons and a daughter-in-law, James Saffin and his fiancé, Melissa West, Theresa, Phillip Saffin and Bryan and Jerri Saffin, all of Salisbury; NC; a step daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Frank Miccoli, Rochester; a step son, Louis Benware II and his companion, Kendra Hanna, Rensselaer Falls; two brothers; Tommy Schneider, Accord and John Schneider, HI; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nancy and Dusty Tyler, PA and Geneva Osterout, Accord; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Two brothers, Dick Schneider and George Schneider, a sister, Helen Cooke and a granddaughter, Jessica Scalia died before her.

The funeral will be 10 am Monday at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa with Pastor David Snyder of the Philadelphia and Evans Mills United Methodist Churches officiating.

Calling hours are 6 to 8 pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County or the Robert Markwich American Legion Auxiliary, Philadelphia.
