Sackets Harbor-Daniel W. Hamlin, age 49 of Sackets Harbor died Tuesday evening at University Hospital, Syracuse following a stroke.

Daniel was born September 1, 1963 in Watertown, the son of the late Richard and Linda Jesmer Hamlin.

He attended school in Watertown and joined the Navy in 1981. Daniel was a Kitchen Supervisor for the Salvation Army in Watertown. He lived in Dexter, Watertown and had recently moved to Sackets Harbor.

He is survived by three children: Keisha Hamlin of Syracuse, Josh Hamlin of Tennessee and Lyndsey Hamlin of Syracuse. His step- mother Mary Weston Hamlin of Dexter, siblings: Richard and Susan Hamlin of Harrisville, Jerry and Kelly Hamlin of Clayton, Mike Greer of Dexter, Judy and Roger Sorrell of Dexter and Laura Greer of Dexter, nieces and nephews also survive.

He was predeceased by a sister Christine Hamlin in 1996.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Calling hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral.
