Watertown- Valentino R. “Tino” Pacific, 84 of Scio St., Passed away at his home Wednesday September 26th surrounded by his family.

A prayer service will be said Saturday, September 29, 9:15am, at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. The funeral mass will follow at 10am at St. Patrick’s Church. Calling hours will be Friday, September 28 from 4pm-8pm at the funeral home.

He was born in Watertown, September 23, 1928, a son of Alexander and Evalina “Pia” Martini Pacific. He was educated at Immaculate Heart Academy where he was a star athlete in basketball and football. Mr. Pacific worked for the construction union Local #322 for over 50 years.

Tino married Ann Conant March 6, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, cooking and gardening.

Besides his wife Ann, he is survived by two daughters, Valentina M. (Douglas) Reid; Karen A. Fiske and her companion, Rick Sayers, all of Watertown. Two sons, Robert M. (Sharon) Pacific, So. Carolina and Richard L. Pacific, Watertown. 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Elmo (Lilly) Pacific, Phoenix, AZ and Arthur Pacific, Watertown. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jeffrey Fiske; four sisters, Tillie Lephart, Gussie Hinds, Donna Pacific, Viola Franck and a brother Arnold “Nondo” Pacific.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of Jefferson County,425 Washington Street, Watertown, New York 13601.
