Two longtime and highly successful Northern New York high school basketball coaches are among the nine new members who will be inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame next winter, the Basketball Coaches Association of New York announced.

The induction ceremony for the six coaches and three contributors will be March 17 at the Glens Falls Civic Center in conjunction with the NYSPHSAA final fours.

The area coaches chosen are: Lew Kibling, winner of 332 games in 28 seasons at Lowville and Watertown, and Ronald Boyea, winner of 349 games in 21 seasons at Chateaugay, which in 2008 became the first Section 10 boys team to win a championship in Glens Falls.

Also to be inducted is Pat Donnelly, a SUNY Potsdam graduate who has won 456 games at East Syracuse-Minoa and Bishop Ludden.
