On July 19, our lives were forever changed. We would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who made such a tragic time bearable for our family. Whether you added us to your prayer chain, sent a get-well card, sent a gas card, made a phone call, drove to Syracuse to visit, brought us food or gave monetarily, it did not go unnoticed or unappreciated.
A very special thank you to our family, friends, co-workers, employers, emergency personnel, medical staff and the Tri-Town community for your utmost generosity and concern. We also would like to thank the bystanders who chose to make a life-changing decision and save my life. It is also with heavy hearts that we express our deepest sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones in the horrific accident on that fateful day.
Lew and Marcy Lottie
Mr. Lottie was critically injured in a multiple-vehicle crash that killed six people on Route 11 in the town of Antwerp. The accident occurred when a tractor-trailer driven by a Pennsylvania man plowed into a vehicle stopped during a road repaving project, causing a chain reaction that involved six vehicles.
