ADAMS CENTER — The calling hours for Theresa M. LaMarche, 81, of 17000 Michael Rd. Adams Center, will be from 2-4 on Sunday at TLC Funeral Home, Inc. and the graveside service will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton, NY on Monday at Noon. Ms. LaMarche died at the Samaritan Medical Center on September 28th.

Ms. LaMarche was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada to Seraphin and Albina Marion LaMarche on July 31, 1931. She graduated from the Nuns of the Great Cross in Ottawa, Canada. She married Niles Yerdon in 1949, and she worked as a seamstress for a sewing factory in Clayton, NY. The marriage ended in divorce in 1959. She was a migrant worker after the end of her marriage to Mr. Yerdon. She later married Herbert Gilbert in 1965 and resided in Fulton, NY. While living in Fulton, Ms. LaMarche worked at Jean’s Ice Cream Bar. Mr. Gilbert passed away in 1966.

She had resided in Alliance, Nebraska where she worked for Woolrich, Inc. as a floor runner. In 2000 she returned to live in the North Country with her daughter, Bonnie Lawrence in Adams Center.

She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church in Adams and enjoyed bowling. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society to fight breast cancer or to St. Jude’s Children Research. Surviving are her two sons and daughters in law, Guy and Sandy Yerdon of Fulton, NY, and Roger and Kathy Yerdon of Alliance, Nebraska and her two daughters and son in law, David and Bonnie Lawrence of Adams Center and Gloria Fritz of Clarkston, Washington, two brothers, Albert LaMarche of Watertown and Robert LaMarche of Dexter and a sister and brother in law, Mignonne Gilbert of Fulton, NY, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several neices, nephews and cousins.

Pre deceased are two children, Ray and Joyce Yerdon and three sisters, Claire LaMarche, Simmone Simpson and Dorothy Davis. Arrangements are with TLC Funeral Home, Inc.
