Lise T. Montrois, 67, Brownville, was listed Monday in fair condition at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, after suffering neck injuries in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Route 12E in the town of Brownville.

Two other people were treated at the same hospital, also for neck injuries: Karen L. Montrois, 46, Brownville, and Michael S. Gebo, 33, of 255 TenEyck St., Apt. 1.

Mr. Gebo was eastbound on Route 12E when shortly after 4:15 p.m. Friday he struck the rear of a car operated by James R. Montrois, 86, Brownville, who was slowing to turn into a driveway, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Gebo was cited with following too close.
