FINEVIEW — A man from Barrie, Ontario, is jailed in Watertown on $10,000 bail after he was allegedly found possessing digital images of child pornography at U.S. Customs on Wellesley Island, according to state police.

Steve H. Ramlall, 41, was detained late Sunday night by federal authorities, but was turned over Monday morning to state police, who charged a felony count of criminal possession of obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony. He awaits possible grand jury action following arraignment before Alexandria Town Justice Sherry L. Pennington, who remanded him to the Metro-Jefferson Publice Safety Building.

No other details were available Tuesday from state police.
