Nancy M. Eiss


Nancy M. Eiss, 72, of 170 Conger Ave., Watertown, passed September 30, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thurs., Oct 4th at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 3rd at the funeral home.

Born on November 24, 1939, in Watertown, NY, daughter of William and Jennie Rolfe Jewett she attended school in Watertown and South Jeff.

She married Michael T. Collette in November of 1957, the marriage ended in divorce.

She was a homemaker and when her children were older she went to work at Northland Electric as an assembly worker. A marriage to George Docteur and George Eiss both ended in divorce.

She loved spending time with her family, camping, fishing, traveling and the outdoors.

Among her survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Michelle M. and Eric J. Damon, Nannette E. and Mark S. Gentile all of Watertown; two sons and their wives, Stephen M. and Dawn M. Collette, Watertown, Timothy A. and Diane E. Collette, Redwood, NY; two brothers and their wives, William H. and Elaine E. Jewett, Watertown, Carl J. and Betty J. Jewett, Dexter; 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by a brother, Edward H. Jewett; two sisters, Sally A. Hauck, Peggy L. Makuch and two granddaughters.
