Northern New York features some of the most stunning displays of fall colors one can find anywhere.
The Adirondack region is noted for spectacular colors of fall foliage, drawing people from near and far to marvel at Natures autumn palette.
A trip from Star Lake to Westport across the heart of the park this weekend revealed that leaf season is in full dress oranges, reds, yellows and indescribable colors galore. All that was lacking was sunshine to illuminate the leaves and provide clear views of the mountains, although rain and mist provide scenes of subtle beauty as well.
The Adirondacks are ripe for viewing now. Lower elevations will soon follow.
Leaf season is brief as well as beautiful. We should enjoy the brilliance of autumn while we can.
