WATERTOWN- Nellie B. Waterson, 94, formerly of Redwood and Hot Springs Arkansas, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, Watertown.

Born September 19, 1918 in Glen Park, she was the daughter of Frank E. and Hattie B. Morehouse Webb, and graduated from Watertown High School.

She married William E. Waterson on November 23, 1968 in Fineview. Mr. Waterson died in the late 1980’s.

She worked in the Social Services Department at Edward John Noble Hospital in Alexandria Bay for 20 years and 5 months, retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Waterson was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Watertown since 1945. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo, learning languages and her dogs and birds. She was affectionately known to many as “Aunt Nell” and was loved by all who met her.

Survivors include two sisters, Hazel Bartlett, Watertown and Maybelle Whiteman, Norwich; nieces and nephews. She was cared for by her niece, Sandra Smith of Adams and her nephew Johnny Webb of Arkansas.

Four brothers, Theodore, Alvin, George and Charles Webb and two sisters, Evelyn Zeno and Edna Faivre and an infant brother Morris died before her..

There will be no services or calling hours. Burial will be at Barnes Settlement Cemetery. Arrangements are with Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., 38422 NYS Route 37, Theresa.
