The Watertown Ice Arena is receiving finishing touches for the upcoming season of the Thousand Islands Privateers hockey season.

The season begins Oct. 26.

The arena opened for skating on Saturday, with public skating from noon-3 p.m. and 5-7:30 p.m. and Rock and Skate from 8:15 p.m.-10:15 p.m.

On Sundays, public skating will be from noon-3 p.m. and adult public skating from 8-9:30 p.m. Public skating costs $2, while admission to Rock and Skate is $3.
